"My Story"

Hi, I'm Valerie!

I've always been creative at heart and love a good DIY project. I started this journey behind the camera after becoming a mother myself. Watching my first born grow -faster than I was ready for- made me realize just how fleeting these seasons are. After only 3 months after she was born, I got my first camera. Unfortunately, the results were not what I wanted so ultimately I gave up on it for years before picking it back up again. But first, I had to dive in to the education in the art. Photography became more than just a creative outlet; it became my way to press pause on the moments that matter most.

Now, I help other families do the same - through warm, emotional, and fine art portraits that honor the beauty of pregnancy, the tiny perfection of a newborn, and the wonder of the first year.

• I'm a proud mama of two girls and one angel baby, a wife, and a child of God
• I love coffee, music, and all things cozy
• My dog Abby (a VERY spoiled shih-poo) often supervises my editing
